We stayed in Villa Horus for 15 nights and the stay was pleasant in every aspect. The villa is situated in the Chaweng hills. Far enough so that the noises of Chaweng nightlife don’t bother you but also close enough so that it’s only a few minutes away from the bustle of Chaweng nightlife. The house itself is luxurious and with air conditioning in every room. Outside areas also vey nice, especially the pool! Max was very helpful and took care of our every need, whether they were renting scooters or cars or hiring a taxi. I recommend either hiring a car or scooters during your stay. It’s very easy to get around Samui and the traffic isn’t really that bad. The cleaning was done almost every other day and the lady doing the cleaning was very nice.

The only problem with places like these is that once you get used to this standard it’s difficult to downgrade.

All the best to you Max, to your wife and daughter from us all !

This villa is great- and so is the host Max. He was extremely helpful in all aspects of our stay and we cannot thank him enough. We stayed over new years and the villa is in easy distance to the main attractions and restaurants in Chewang. It is lovely to have such a nice view and relaxing atmosphere to come back to after finishing in town for the night.
Any issues we had (minor thing- the hot water fuse blew to ensuite) Max fixed immediately and the cleaning service was polite and respectful.

We highly recommend Villa Horus for your next stay on Koh Samui.

We wish Max and his new family all the best.

Very nice and big house, suitable for big groups. We had a great time in the house and in Koh Samui. 10 minutes to city and beach with scooter or tuktuk.

I recommend to rent scooters. It is cheap (200 baht / day) and then you can go to a big shopping mall to buy food. For 10 days and 7 people we paid close to 7 000 baht for electricity, very cheap.

House is really big. View is really good. Bedrooms are big and nice. Area is quiet and away from noice. If there is something that is not perfect it would be a little thin on stuff for kitchen, most likely because everyone eats out every day anyway..

There is some building activity there, but this did not bother us. basically there is some few guys there that sometimes work, but you can seldom here or see it.. Electricity bill will be about 200 USD a week. I loved the fact you could sit on own balcony outside bedroom drink wine and enjoy the wiev over the ocean during evening. I loved that I attached my spotify to stereo and had a good sound quality from spotify filling the whole area.

I recomend this house. Its far away from noice in beach and from airport. Airport is actually only a few km away, but planes did not fly over the house, like anything really close to Chaweng beach

Beautiful villa with an outside pool with jacuzzi and an indoor jacuzzi. Big spaces and good comfort. The photos on The website reflect clearly The accomodation.
The villa is situated almost 10 minutes by scooter far from Chaweng Beach and you have to drive through the nature (good streets) to reach it for a couple of kilometers. There is a minimarket immediately outside the villa and the biggest supermarket of the island (Tesco) in 5 minutes by scooter. The A/C is everywhere and you need it because it’s really hot especially in the morning.

If you are careful The electricity is not expensive (we paid about 20 euro per person for 9 days and we were 8 people). Cleanliness can be improved but it’s quite ok! Relax is for sure by the pool also thanks to the quite area. There are some villas under constructions in The nearby but not very noisy. Globally a great holiday.

Amazing, beautiful, luxurious dream stay! The villa was better than we ever expected. The pool was amazing, the view of Chaweng Bay is unobstructed and gorgeous, and the bedrooms and amenities were nothing short of luxury (fantastic kitchen!). We woke up to a bright, sunny view of the sea and jungle and went straight to the pool everyday. We had breakfast and drinks on the deck and could lounge around without a care in the world. It was so relaxing and great that we often had a hard time leaving the villa to go to the beach! There is a small shop on the premises that has drinks, snacks, and other amenities and a 24 hr. guard at the gate who can arrange taxis and other things if we needed. Very helpful.

The manager, Jean-Jacques was incredibly helpful and friendly, and he was always a phone call or email away. He gave us great advice and guidance for our stay, and responded to any inquiries or requests we had right away. We couldn’t ask for a better manager during our stay! He even recommended a great local restaurant that had served up the best Thai food of our entire trip!

The only difficulty we had was the distance from the main areas of Koh Samui. The villa is up a few kilometers from the main road, and then from there, a few more kilometers to the beach. Ideally, you would want scooter or a car to make the trek to the main areas of Koh Samui easier. We were able to arrange a taxi back to the villa from Chaweng beach for 300-400 baht which is a reasonable price, but we sometimes had difficulty explaining where it was. Also, there was also some light construction going on in the surrounding villas during the day while we were there.

This villa would be ideal for anyone (families, friends, couples, etc.) wanting a luxurious, relaxing holiday on Koh Samui, away from the craziness and hustle-bustle of the main beachfront areas (Chaweng, Lamai, etc.). While those areas were where all the action is, we were more than happy to come home to our villa at the end of the day and unwind in the pool or on the deck, looking up to the stars over the sea. Again, while the location was somewhat far, we never had difficulties getting around and the amenities of the villa more than made up for the distance.

It was a trip and stay I will never forget and will recommend to anyone visiting Koh Samui. Thanks for everything Max and Jean-Jacques!
